Energy Generation
Generating electricity is one way homeowners, businesses and institutions can help Ontario meet its energy needs while taking advantage of financial incentives.
Whether it is homeowners adding solar panels to their roof, or a corporation building a small hydroelectric facility, there are incentive programs available.
The Independent Electricity System Operator offers two programs for those interested in supplying renewable energy to their local electricity distribution grid. These programs allow customers to earn revenue by connecting solar photovoltaic, wind, bio-energy and small hydroelectric generation to the grid.
Programs
FIT
The FIT program is for installing renewable electricity generation projects larger than 10 kilowatts.
